Job Summary:
As a Senior Analog Mixed-Signal Design Engineer, you’ll play a key role in developing precision timing circuits used in high-performance networking, communications infrastructure, and ultra-low power mobile applications — including wearable devices. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to design and verify complex analog and mixed-signal blocks, leveraging cutting-edge MEMS technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design analog and mixed-signal circuits based on architectural requirements and technical specs
- Contribute to the definition of circuit architecture and support full-chip integration
- Perform simulations, analysis, and verification (pre and post-layout) to ensure robust performance and manufacturability
- Collaborate with layout engineers to guide layout implementation and ensure design integrity
- Document design blocks and lead design reviews
- Participate in chip bring-up, validation, and characterization, with a focus on your owned blocks
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Test, Characterization, and Applications teams to support silicon validation
- Provide support on other projects as required by business needs
Qualifications & Requirements:
- M.S. in Electrical Engineering (or related field) with 4+ years of relevant experience, or Ph.D. with 2+ years
- Strong academic background with proven silicon-based research/projects
- Deep understanding of CMOS analog design and noise analysis
- Expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- PLLs (Integer-N or Fractional-N)
- Sigma-Delta ADCs
- Temperature sensors
- Analog/Digital filters
- MEMS or Quartz oscillators
- Sub-threshold/ultra-low-power circuits
- Low-noise regulators and bandgaps
- High-speed output drivers
- Experience overseeing layout for critical analog blocks
- Proficiency with Cadence analog design tools
- Working knowledge of MATLAB and VerilogA
