Job Summary:
As a Principal Analog Mixed-Signal Design Engineer, you will play a strategic and technical leadership role in the development of next-generation precision timing circuits. You’ll leverage deep expertise in analog/mixed-signal design to drive architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate cross-functionally to bring high-performance, low-power solutions to market. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer ready to make a broad impact on innovative MEMS-based timing technology used across communications, mobile, and infrastructure systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of complex analog and mixed-signal blocks, ensuring alignment with system architecture and performance targets
  • Define circuit architecture in collaboration with systems and product teams
  • Perform in-depth simulations and analysis (pre and post-layout) with full consideration for design for test (DFT) and manufacturability (DFM)
  • Provide technical guidance and reviews for schematic and layout work, ensuring best-in-class design practices
  • Act as a mentor to junior and senior engineers, fostering technical growth and innovation
  • Lead design reviews, documentation, and technical sign-off processes for major circuit blocks
  • Collaborate closely with layout, test, product, and applications teams to drive successful silicon validation
  • Contribute to roadmap planning, IP reuse strategy, and overall design methodology improvement
  • Represent the team in technical discussions with stakeholders and influence key project decisions

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with 6+ years of experience, or M.S. with 10+ years of relevant analog/mixed-signal design experience
  • Proven track record of first-silicon success and volume production of complex analog/mixed-signal ICs
  • Expert-level understanding of CMOS analog design and noise analysis
  • Deep technical leadership in at least two of the following areas:
    • High-performance PLLs (Integer-N/Fractional-N)
    • Sigma-Delta ADCs and DACs
    • Temperature sensors
    • High-speed I/O and drivers
    • Ultra-low-power or sub-threshold circuits
    • Low-noise regulators, bandgap references
    • MEMS/quartz oscillator-based timing circuits
  • Strong capability in top-level integration and system-level impact evaluation
  • Proficiency with Cadence analog design environment and scripting tools (e.g., MATLAB, VerilogA)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and mentor engineering teams
  • Excellent documentation, presentation, and communication skills

Preferred Attributes:

  • Visionary problem-solver with a hands-on attitude and a passion for innovation
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to drive alignment across teams
  • Capable of balancing strategic technical direction with hands-on execution
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced product development environment
