ROLE: Field Sales Manager – Automotive and High Power Accounts (DACH Region)

Location: Germany (ideally NRW)

Our client is a leading global provider of advanced electronic components for high-voltage power-conversion systems. They specialise in innovative technologies that enhance efficiency and reliability in high-power applications, including industrial motor drives, renewable energy systems, electric vehicles, and high-voltage transmission solutions.

 

Role Objective

We are seeking a Field Sales Manager to drive revenue growth and customer acquisition across the DACH region, with a strong focus on Automotive and High Power accounts. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, this role is critical in shaping the strategic direction of sales initiatives within the region.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Revenue: Secure existing projects and deliver sustained revenue growth across the DACH region.
  • Customer Engagement: Develop strategies for acquiring new customers while managing and nurturing key accounts.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Guide Field Application Engineers (FAEs) and coordinate with Marketing and Development teams to ensure seamless customer support.
  • Market Expertise: Analyse and act on market trends and opportunities in the High Power and Automotive industries.
  • Strategic Pricing: Formulate competitive pricing strategies using a value-selling approach.
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Provide regular updates on progress and deliver accurate monthly/quarterly forecasts to senior management.
  • Travel: Engage directly with customers through frequent travel across the region.

 

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 5 years in technical sales, ideally within the Automotive or High Power sector.
    • Strong, demonstrable customer-facing capabilities with experience managing key accounts.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in both German and English (spoken and written) is required. Proficiency in additional European languages is a plus.
  • Proven Success: A solid track record of achievements in similar roles.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Valid European driving license.
