About the Company
With over six decades of heritage in semiconductor innovation, our client is a leading global manufacturer of high-reliability, high-power components. Their products support mission-critical applications across industrial automation, transportation, energy, and more. As they enter a significant phase of international growth, they are now looking to bring on an experienced Business Development Manager to further strengthen their foothold in the DACH region.

 

The Role
This is a high-impact, growth-focused role suited to a commercially driven sales professional with a deep understanding of power electronics. You’ll take the lead in developing new customer relationships, opening strategic accounts, and driving design-in wins across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

You’ll act as the face of the business in the region—working closely with technical, product, and marketing teams to deliver tailored solutions to new industrial clients. This is a “hunter” role where you’ll be expected to open doors, build trust, and drive long-term commercial success.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across industrial segments (e.g., inverters, motor drives, UPS, welding systems, automation).
  • Engage with engineering, procurement, and senior decision-makers to drive design-in and sales activity.
  • Deliver compelling technical and commercial presentations to support proposals and bids.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings across the DACH region.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to align customer needs with the company’s technology roadmap.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline and deliver accurate sales forecasting and reporting.

     

Your Profile
We’re looking for someone who combines technical credibility with commercial tenacity. You’ll be confident managing complex sales cycles and experienced in growing business in technically demanding markets.

 

You should bring:

  • Proven experience in business development or technical sales within power electronics or semiconductors.
  • Knowledge of products such as:
    • IGBT modules
    • Power assemblies
    • High-power UPS systems
    • Industrial motor drives and converters
    • HVDC systems
  • Experience engaging with customers such as Siemens, ABB, Schneider Electric, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of the DACH industrial landscape, with professional fluency in both German and English.
  • A structured, strategic approach to territory and account planning.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across the region.
