Overview

We are currently looking to engage multiple experienced Contract Analog Design Engineers for a high-impact 6–9 month engagement. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge analog IP development within a flexible hybrid setup—requiring only 2 days per week (negotiable) in our Cambridge office.

The project focuses on delivering high-quality analog cores across a range of domains including Data Converters, Power Management, and Analog Sensor Interfaces. You’ll join a senior engineering team with a strong track record of taking designs from concept through to production on silicon.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and development of high-performance analog IP blocks from specification through to silicon
  • Drive and implement full analog design flow: specification, modelling, schematic design, simulation, layout oversight, post-layout verification (PEX), and sign-off
  • Develop and validate specifications at system and circuit level
  • Apply top-down design methodologies and contribute to technical innovation
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure delivery against project milestones
  • Contribute to design reviews, documentation, and design quality processes

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience designing analog circuits that have been successfully released on silicon
  • Expertise in one or more of the following domains:
    • Data Converters (ADC/DAC)
    • Power Management Circuits
    • Sensor Interfaces
  • Hands-on experience across the full analog design lifecycle
  • Strong understanding of top-down design methodology
  • Experience defining and working to strict specifications
  • Practical knowledge of post-layout verification and sign-off
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new methodologies

Desirable Skills

  • Familiarity with scripting or programming languages such as:
    • Python, Verilog-A/AMS, SystemVerilog, C, MATLAB, Linux
  • Experience in agile or automation-driven design environments
  • Exposure to modern analog toolchains (e.g., GitLab CI/CD, GLIWA, Vector, ETAS)

What’s on Offer

  • Outside IR35 contract
  • Flexible hybrid working model (2 days/week onsite)
  • Work with a highly experienced, senior engineering team
  • Opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking, high-performance analog design project
