A fast-growing international semiconductor company is looking for a Field Application Engineer to support key customers across EMEA. Known for its strength in white goods, industrial and power supply markets, the company is expanding into renewables and electric mobility. This is a technically hands-on, customer-facing role where you’ll make a direct impact on design-in success.

The Role

You’ll lead technical engagement at customer level, driving demand creation, enabling design wins, and acting as the key technical bridge between sales, product marketing, and engineering teams. You’ll combine application knowledge with practical field support to help customers develop next-generation power electronics systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and execute technical engagement plans in alignment with Sales and Marketing
  • Deliver application support during the design-in process to secure design wins
  • Provide in-depth technical product presentations, demonstrations, and reference material
  • Conduct training for customers, distributors, and internal sales teams
  • Gather and relay customer insights and product requirements to product marketing
  • Track and update design activity and project status in internal systems
  • Report on competitive landscape, application trends, and customer feedback

What You’ll Need

  • Strong technical expertise in power electronics (e.g. SMPS, UPS, AC-DC)
  • Deep understanding of power discrete components, parameters, and topologies
  • Solid grasp of project pipelines and design-in/design-win process
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronic or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical support, FAE, or R&D role in semiconductors
  • Comfortable delivering presentations, leading customer meetings, and troubleshooting in the field
  • Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages a plus
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and CRM/reporting systems
  • Willing and able to travel more than 30%

Why This Role?

This is a key position within a company investing heavily in future growth across industrial, power supply and renewable energy markets. You’ll be given autonomy, visibility, and the chance to drive technical engagement across a wide customer base. The business offers a strong platform, an open culture, and the opportunity to work closely with experienced commercial and technical leaders across EMEA.
